Jack's Dog

Maizy's collar broke and we had to get a new one yesterday. I gave Jack a choice of a blue camo or an orange collar. He said "wait Mom, here is a pink one with white polka dots. Girl's like pink and polka dots." Where he comes up with this stuff is beyond me. Maizy is now sporting her new collar picked out by Jack. Glad he doesn't pick out my wardrobe.

Snow Days

Maizy just loves the snow, but not the cold. She got to go for a ride on the snowmobile.  She takes the boys hats off and tries to get Tyler all the time. I usually have to rescue him. She doesn't stay out as long as the boys do. She prefers to come in side and lay by the fire.

She enjoyed some candy canes off the Christmas tree and drank the water out of it, when we first put the tree up. So far the ornaments are safe.

The scavenger

Poor Tyler can't eat anything with out Maizy snatching it.I either put her outside or in the garage, when I give the kids meals or snacks. Yesterday, I gave Tyler a banana and thought nothing of it that Maizy was laying down stairs. Next thing I know, I hear a scream "No Maizy", she had eatten the whole banana. I still can't believe she ate the peel. Yuck!

Bedtime

Maizy has had two chances to sleep in our room. The first night she lasted til 12:30 and last night she only made it til 10:30pm. She moves around too much and I just don't trust her when it comes to the walk in closet in our room. Glad all my shoes are in another closet. Ryan's are all at the foot of the bed. She really has a thing for slippers. She may be in the crate for a few more nights.

No Privacy...

We no longer have privacy, when it comes to showers and especially baths. If the kids splash, Maizy licks water off the tub. She even licks your feet, when you get out of the shower, if she is near by. Glad there is a camera on my phone. Maybe now, I'll will catch her in the act more.
She is such a poser. I may not get the boys to look at the camera, but Maizy is always ready for a picture or two.

New Today

Maizy has started to like playing tug-of-war. She grabs the belt to my bathrobe and pulls it until she gets it off. I need to get a video of it. She has also started the spazing out, where she tears through the house at top speed. She has become a huge fan of the hair dryer. No matter where she is in the house, she comes running, as soon as I turn it on. We have also noticed that her fur is getting more Golden each day.

Sniffing around

Maizy wanted to get in on the loot from trick or treating. Tyler had just picked it all up off the floor.

Candy Theif

Wish I had my camera earlier. Maizy put her head into Tyler's trick or treat pumpkin and took a jolly rancher. Glad I caught her before she could eat it. That would not be good for a puppy!

Funny little dog

This past Thursday, Ila came over to help me paint the kitchen and living room. Maizy got in the action by steping in Ila's paint and then climbing all over her. Ila was able to clean Maizy's paw. Then, when Ryan got home, Maizy peed on him. He didn't think it was very funny, but I sure did. Maizy is now sleeping through the night. She does not need caffeine to get up and go. As soon as, she is out of her crate she runs all over the house. She has pulled Jack's covers off his bed a couple of times.

New Today

Today, she figured out how to go down the stairs. I guess we will need to get the baby gates out.
She had her first ride in the Rhino. They went back in the woods and stopped to watch a owl. Glad we wait with her, while she does her business. It would be awful to have a Hawk or a Owl swoop down from the sky and snatch her.

Welcome Home

Maizy says "I'm moving north" to her mom, Summer.

Maizy taking a nap. The drive to her new home was exhausting or maybe it was running outside with the boys.

Maizy just relaxing with a pair of shoes (no chewing)

The first night was rough. She barked in her kennel til 3am. The second night, we put in a clock that was wrapped in a towel. She only barked for a 30 min. She got some new chew toys today and is relaxing by the fire. She has is made.
