Pumpkin Time

Maizy's second Halloween and she was all about inspecting carving the pumpkin.
She must have not liked the mouth, because she chewed the teeth out after I put it outside.

Sleepover

Maizy got to have a sleepover at Toby's house. She was good for Ila and Frank. She only chewed up a piece of gum and then took the other piece to Ila. Glad she has learned how to share. She has seemed kinda of down. Maybe she is missing Toby the cat or all the attenion, since they had a lot of company. We now leave her out at night and she always jumps on the bed, but she never stays up there for too long. She really likes to sleep with her Green Bay Packer blanket. She even carries it around the house, just like a little kid.

Here to stay???

The family called the Monday before they were suppose to meet us and decided not to take her. So, while the boys and I were in Wisconsin, Ryan bonded with her. Jack still got his books. Now, she even enjoys a swim or just hanging out in the pool.

The last straw

Maizy will be going to her new family this coming Tuesday. The other night was the last straw, when she was out and chasing deer. Glad it's not deer season, or a hunter would have shot her. I think the whole family is relieved that she is going to a good home. The lady trains leader dogs and has teenagers. I feel they will be a better fit for her. Jack has said it is "o.k.", but he did negotiate 7 new "The Magic School Bus" books from Barnes & Noble.

It's Offcial

Graduation was this week. Maizy now has her certificate from the Mt. Pleasant, Kennel Club for completing puppy obedience class of 7 weeks. Now, I just need to keep on her. Jack came to the last class and had fun taking her thru the obstacle course.

Another hunter in the house

Maizy has really been honing her hunting and caturing skills lately. First, she just chase and bark at the turkeys. Next, she got a bird, then a mouse and now she got three baby chipmunks. Of course she has to put them on the front ponch in front of the door, so we can see them. She likes getting Ryan's approval.

Digging

I have tried everything except the chicken wire to stop the digging. Red Crushed Pepper worked for a little and so did the Black Pepper. Maybe she can't smell, but I sure can the Cayanne pepper sure made my nose itch. I really hope she grows out of this stage, since I want to clean up the flower beds and do some planting.
